Edgewater Golf Course represents the vision of designer Bruce Brodsky, RLA, AICP, LEED AP ND, marking his first golf course design to date. Opening to the public on August 29, 2008, the course immediately established itself as a premier golfing destination in the Carolinas.
Brodsky's unique background combines extensive golf playing experience—he started at age five and became a PGA professional—with formal education in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia. This rare combination of playing expertise and design credentials allowed him to create a course that challenges skilled players while remaining enjoyable for golfers of all abilities.
The course features A1/A4 Bent Grass greens, which offer exceptional drought and cold temperature tolerance along with terrific disease resistance. This allows for smooth, felt-like greens throughout the year—a playing surface quality typically found only at the most prestigious courses. Complementing these premium greens are Bermuda fairways, rough, and tees that thrive in the Carolina climate, ensuring optimal playing conditions season after season.
